Penny Kay BSc (Hons), MRCPod. HCPC Registered.

Penny graduated with a first-class honours degree in Podiatry from the University of East London and was awarded Highest Achieving Podiatry Undergraduate Student and the Professor Mark Tagoe Best Research Project.

In July 2021, she joined the South West Podiatry team and consults from Earlsfield and Maidenhead. She shares a passion to deliver the best evidence supported treatments and service, and has a special interest in ballet. Her key focus is movement related foot problems, which includes musculoskeletal gait analysis, orthotic therapy and nail surgery.

A graduate from the Royal Ballet School, she forged a 20 year career teaching ballet. Well organised, with good planning skills and highly motivated, she achieved Fellowship status enabling her to become an International examiner for The Cecchetti Society and was invited to join the faculty at The Royal Ballet School. Having developed an interest in foot health through dance, she completed the Foot Health Professional qualification in 2016 from the SMAE Institute and combined both careers before stopping teaching in 2019 to be a full-time podiatrist.

Hobbies:

Beyond the clinic, Penny enjoys keeping active, attending the theatre, dining out and occasionally still swings a leg at the barre.
