Penny Kay BSc (Hons), MRCPod, HCPC registered Podiatrist
Penny joined the South West Podiatry team in July 2021 and consults from the Earlsfield and Maidenhead clinics. Industrious by nature and passionate to learn, she graduated with a first-class honours degree in Podiatry from the University of East London and was awarded Highest Achieving Podiatry Undergraduate Student and the Professor Mark Tagoe Best Research Project.
With a natural interest in movement analysis born from teaching ballet, Penny is thrilled to work with podiatrists who specialise in musculoskeletal pathologies, gait analysis, sports injuries and orthotics.
A graduate from the Royal Ballet School, this dedicated, highly skilled professional forged a successful 20year career teaching ballet. She achieved Fellowship status enabling her to become an International examiner for The Cecchetti Society and was invited to join the faculty at The Royal Ballet School. Having developed an interest in foot health through her dance career, Penny completed the Foot Health Professional qualification in 2016 from the SMAE Institute and combined both careers before choosing to hang up her teaching shoes in 2019 and become a full-time podiatrist.
Beyond the clinic, Penny enjoys keeping active, attending the theatre, dining out and occasionally still swings a leg at the barre.
